“A master can tell you what he expects of you. A teacher, though awakens your own expectations.” Patricia Neal

This might sound crazy but I am kind of glad I had to take geometry a second time junior year, if it wasn’t for me having you as a teacher i would not have had higher expectations for myself. Math was always my weakest subject, I would settle for a D as long as it meant i was passing the class. I never put much effort in because I would never see a grade I was proud of. I never thought i would see myself having A’s and B’s on a math test. But all of this ended ever since I had the privilege of having such an amazing math teacher. If i didn’t have you for a math teacher I would probably still have extremely low expectations but I guess this is part because i’ve never had such a good teacher. You would always take your time to explain every step and would always make sure we understood the lesson before you move on to the next one. That is unlike any teacher i had. Most teachers just move on no matter how many students didn’t understand what he/she was trying to teach. The way you taught the class really made me understand what was going on and the grades I earned really caused me to have higher expectations for myself.
