Dear Mr. Orlinsky by Morgan Bourke,

The day I walked into your class, I knew it was going to be life changing. I never enjoyed to learn as much as I did, in your class. You made it so fun and entertaining when you incorporated hockey (go rangers) and your favorite movies, or playing music as we worked because it helped us concentrate better. Your class taught me that I don’t have to be so uptight in life and stress over every little thing. I can goof around sometimes and add a little humour into anything, no matter how serious the situation is. Whenever I didn’t feel like going to school one day, I’d think to myself, “well if I don’t go to school, then I’m going to miss Mr. Orlinsky’s class!”

I will never forget the speech you gave my class on the last day of school. You told us to live our lives to the fullest and make the most out of everything. “If you think high school is the best four years of your life, you have been living your life wrong.” Those words have always stuck with me since you’ve said them. It made me think about making every minute of my life special in it’s own way. I live my life to the fullest and make every year the best it could be.

Whenever we would ask you a question, you would always answer in the most ridiculous and funny ways. That’s what made your class so special and fun. I learned to much from being in your class and wish that I was able to have you more than once in my high school career. On the first day of school, you high fived us as we walked into your class. On the last day of high school for me, I hope I can high five you and wish you good luck in the rest of your years as a teacher.

Best Regards,

Morgan Bourke
