Taylor Swift is Dull

Taylor Swift is known around the world and adored by millions of people. Yet, she is not loved by me. I’m sorry but I’m just not a huge fan of Taylor Swift.

All of my friends love her and have been to at least one of her concerts, but I don’t understand the whole obsession about her.

People ask me all the time on how I obsess over every celebrity that breathes, but I despise “T-Swizzle.” It’s just a matter of opinion.

I understand that she has “such a good heart” and “writes music that actually means something” but I just don’t like her. Her voice annoys me, her songs make my head hurt and I don’t find her to be that good of a role model.

I’m not going to lie, but when “Love Story” came out, I printed out the lyrics and memorized the whole song from start to end. That was, and still is, the only song I will ever like from Taylor Swift.

Most people annoy me by asking “Is the only reason why you don’t like Taylor because she dated Harry Styles, Joe Jonas and Josh Hutcherson?” FOR THE LAST TIME: NO. I don’t judge someone on who they date; I simply judge them on the amount of people they have dated.

Taylor Swift has a terrible reputation with boys if you ask me. I would not want to be known as someone who has a new boyfriend all the time and then writes songs about them. Her song “Blank Space” was literally about her having a list of ex-boyfriends and adding One Direction member, Harry Styles, to that list. I find it disgusting.

Yes, I know she does a lot of charity work, and visits sick children in the hospital, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I have to like her.

What I don’t understand is what she did when she went on her “1989 Tour.” For every single show, she invited another celebrity to join the stage with her. When she was in East Rutherford, Nick Jonas joined her on stage. They both sang Nick Jonas’ song “Jealous,” and I’m sorry, but she ruined the song for me… And I love Nick Jonas.

All of my friends know that I don’t like her, and they purposefully play her music whenever we hang out; it’s super annoying.

I apologize if anyone is offended by this, but that’s what an editorial is for…

Overall, I do not like Taylor Swift, and that is just my own personal opinion.
