Hunger Games Finale Does Not Disappoint

Once again, the team that has brought the last three The Hunger Games movies to life has delivered yet another phenomenal movie to the franchise. This time around, an epic finale has been executed to provide fans with a satisfying, bittersweet, and heart-warming ending.

The movie picks up with Katniss’ rehabilitation in District 13 after her former companion, Peeta Mellark, tried to choke her to death at the end of Mockingjay Part 1. Peeta’s condition is termed as “hijacked,” since he was tortured and programmed to think that Katniss is the enemy, in addition to now having warped memories of the past. The doctors and leaders of District 13 try to undo Peeta’s hijacking by introducing Prim, and later on Katniss, for the first time after the choking.

Unfortunately, neither techniques work, so Katniss decides to cope with her emotions by distracting herself in District 2. Here she helps decide how this district will fall into rebel hands, while filming a series of propos. When District 2 falls but not everything goes to plan, Katniss sneaks into the Capitol and is eventually met by her District 13 comrades to hopefully finish out the war with a rebel victory.

Throughout this journey in the Capitol, Katniss continues to find herself as a martyr for the rebellion against the Capitol as she deals with struggles of decision-making, loss, and the challenges of tyranny.

To see how heroine Katniss Everdeen and the citizens of Panem complete their journey, check your local movie theater for the next showing of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Through a thrilling, captivating, and tear-jerking ending, this world phenomenon will leave you thinking about love, sacrifice, and the consequences of war.
