It just keeps getting better for Freehold Township Flag Football. The team secured its first win on the road in program history with a commanding 33-6 victory over the understaffed Ranney Panthers. The Patriots advance to a record of 2-2 on the season, while the Panthers fall to 0-1.
QB Skyler Rausch (So.) went 11of 13 for 131 yards and two touchdowns passing, to go along with 46 yards rushing on two carries. She also made four tackles on defense, tied for the team-high. Gabrielle Ramiz (Fr.) recorded an interception. Joelle Ganon (Fr.) sacked the quarterback three times.
The one that really poured it on, though, was Chloe Glickman (Sr.). She had 93 receiving yards (Most) on five catches and 73 rushing yards (Most) on two carries. She accounted for all four touchdowns from scrimmage. In addition, she made four tackles on defense (T-most). It was arguably the best individual performance by a player so far, especially considering Shiloh Harris (So.) was inactive for this game.
“I feel that the outcome of our game wasn’t just a personal thing, but all around good for everyone,” reflects Glickman. “I feel that my performance was not just because of me, but because of my teammates; everyone played their position great, which helped me get my runs. I think we also did a great job on defense, defending their main girl, which helped us to have the outcome that we did and kept them away from scoring.”
FTHS Flag Football is back in action on Tuesday, April 21, on the road against the Marlboro Mustangs at 4 PM EST.
