This year, the Super Bowl was relatively underwhelming. Super Bowl 60 was a rematch of the Seahawks vs. Patriots from Super Bowl XLIX, but with a different result.
The Seattle defense dictated most of the game, holding New England scoreless through the first three quarters. Meanwhile, the Seahawks kicked four field goals to take a 12-0 lead.
Then, in the last quarter, the game got a bit sloppy with a few turnovers. Nonetheless, the scoring picked up, but the Patriots were just too far behind. TE AJ Barner caught a touchdown pass, and LB Uchenna Nwosu scooped up a fumble and scored.
The final score of this game was 29-13, Seahawks. RB Kenneth Walker III won Super Bowl LX MVP, with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries. Kicker Jason Myers kicked a Super Bowl record five field goals.
In other news, the halftime show by Bad Bunny was the most-watched in its history.
With the Seahawks ending an outstanding season on top, they will look to come back just as strong next year, while the young Patriots will almost certainly be back in the playoffs next year.
With the offseason beginning for all teams, watch for signings and trades, and especially the NFL Draft, which begins on April 23, 2026, in Pittsburgh.
