The Philadelphia Eagles were at the top of the NFL, Super Bowl Champs after a dominant 40-22 win over the Chiefs, and a roster that only Howie “The Goat” Roseman could assemble. But even great things must come to an end, more specifically, the playing calling of former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Moore left the Eagles to pursue the New Orleans Saints’ Head Coaching position, which left big shoes to fill. The solution? Enter Kevin Patullo.
Eagles Head Coach, Nick Sirianni, picked Patullo, who was formerly the Eagles’ passing game coordinator. Although many had doubts about in-house hiring after the nightmare 2023 season with Sean Desai and Brian Johnson, Eagles fans trust Sirianni made the right decision. However, the game says otherwise.
The Eagles now sit at 8-4 in back-to-back losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears that ended in disaster. The problem? Kevin Patullo.
The Eagles rank 24th in the NFL for offense and rank 28th in 3rd down conversion. It appears that the only play the Eagles know is an inside run in the middle. The passing game doesn’t even exist, as every route is either a short slant or a hitch route. A champion team never looks like this, plain and simple. The Eagles during Dallas week were up by 21 points in the first half. The result? A blown lead to let their rival win 24-21 in an embarrassing showing of what Philly is as a team.

The answer is on the wall: Kevin Patullo needs to be fired and replaced. However, Sirianni claims that Patullo should be trusted and that “Everything was being evaluated” to fix this team. Yet, the fans have taken the matter into their own hands. From TikTok edits, including the infamous “Wabi Sabi” sound from King of the Hill, chants of “FIRE KEVIN” during games, road signs calling for the dismissal, and the most malicious, throwing eggs at Patullo’s New Jersey home in Hillsborough. This isn’t just a one-off trend; it’s an entire movement that won’t stop until something changes.
The Eagles have the players to win another championship; everyone knows that. Even at the top of the NFC East, this team won’t win if “running up the middle” is the go-to play for every snap. The offense is just way too predictable for any defense; it’s a repeat of 2023.
With that said, dear Kevin,
“GO HOME”.
