On November 7th, 2025, the list of nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards was revealed. The Grammys, held on February 1st, 2026, is the most prestigious music award show, also referred to as “music’s biggest night,” and is a show that many fans and artists look forward to every year. This year’s nominations were nothing short of the expectations that the awards have set in the past. With a total of 95 categories, including 2 new ones—Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover—this show is set to be one of the best yet.
Kendrick Lamar led with the most nominations at 9, including Album of the Year for his album GNX, as well as Record of the Year and Song of the Year, both for his song “Luther” featuring SZA. This makes Lamar eligible to win 3 out of the 4 major categories of the night, with him still being nominated for 6 other highly prestigious awards. Lady Gaga, Cirkut, and Jack Antonoff followed with 7 nominations each for their respective work this year, with Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas, and Serban Ghenea all coming in soon after with 6 nominations each.
The four major categories are the awards considered to be the most sought after at the Grammys. Album, Song, and Record of the Year, as well as Best New Artist, make up this prestigious classification.
