What events do you do in gymnastics?

– I do the all-around, which is all four events.

Do you have a favorite event?

– My favorite event is probably floor, and my least favorite event is probably beam.

How were you introduced to gymnastics?

– I’ve been doing it since I was three years old. I kind of followed my friend and I’ve been doing it ever since.

Did you play any other sports when you were younger?

– When I was younger I did dance and gymnastics, and then chose gymnastics.

Do you have a favorite memory while playing at Township?

– Definitely team activities like sleepovers and other team stuff because we’re a really fun group.

Do you have a favorite gymnast?

– My favorite on my team is Emily Rogers, because she’s always been in my life and she’s just as helpful as I am for the team. We’re just best friends. My favorite professional gymnast is Simone Biles.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of gymnastics?

– Hanging out with friends.

Do you have a favorite food to eat before an event?

– Meets are usually in the morning, so I usually have bacon and eggs in the morning before a meet.

Is there anything that you like to do before an event, like a ritual?

– Not really, I kind of just walk around.

Are you nervous before an event or a meet?

– Yes, I am usually nervous, which is why I always walk around.

Do you have a second-favorite sport to play?

– Probably volleyball.

If you could give advice to a young gymnast, what would it be?

– I would say to just try your best, and do what you can do, because that’s what is going to be helpful to the team.

Best of luck to Jenelle Cloud and the rest of the FTHS Gymnastics team!
