Golden Globes Overview

The Golden Globe Awards this year, unfortunately, had many fashion fails. Anne Hathaway wore an animal print dress that most found unappealing. Galia Lahav’s dress wore her instead of her wearing it, with the neon colors of the dress overpowering her overall look. The thought of Judy Greer’s outfit – which was a suit – was there, but the fit of the outfit did not flatter her at all. Heidi Klum’s dress had a corset top that didn’t fit her well, and a flowy bottom with flowers on it.

Despite all these unsuccessful looks, some guests wowed the viewers with their looks. Halle Berry wore a red gown with a plunging neckline. Amy Adams wore a turquoise off the shoulder gown. Bradley Cooper wore a white tuxedo paired with his girlfriend’s shimmery gold dress. Rachel Brosnahan wore a simple sunshine yellow dress. Emily Blunt wore a silver crocheted dress. Lady Gaga wore a periwinkle gown with a long train that matched her periwinkle hair.

Winner of the Best Motion Picture was Bohemian Rhapsody, beating A Star Is Born who was the expected winner. The Best Supporting Actress award went to Regina King, for her part in If Beale Street Could Talk, and the Best Supporting Actor award went to Mahershala Ali, for his part in Green Book. Additionally, Best Director went to Alfonso Cuarón for Roma.

Fans Rage At Kendall

The Proactiv commercial that Kendall Jenner starred in during the Golden Globes received a lot of backlash from fans. Kendall Jenner’s mom, Kris Jenner, hyped up this commercial so much as fans were promised a “raw story,” that people were left let down and disappointed when what she had been describing had simply been a Proactiv commercial. In the commercial, Kendall shares her struggle with acne and claims that Proactiv helped eliminate some of her acne. Fans shared their thoughts on Twitter, one saying, “You’re joking me. This is the ‘big announcement’? This is a pathetic cry for attention.” Another user points out that people have bigger problems out there such as crippling disorders, and feels that Kris took her hashtags in her post too far.

Kylie’s Engagement Rumors Brought Up Once Again

Engagement rumors between Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have been going around for a while, and now Kylie has been spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. Kylie also showed her followers the ring on her Instagram, the only caption being a heart emoji. Travis states, “We’ll get married soon, I just gotta sturdy up – I gotta propose in a fire way.”

No Host For Oscars

After Kevin Hart’s old homophobic tweets resurfaced and he stepped down to host the Oscars, it is said the Oscars will reportedly have no host. Instead of having one primary host, there will be an abundance of A-list celebrities to take care of different segments and awards. The Oscars are on February 24th – just six weeks away – which leads Kevin Hart to say. “You’re talking about two weeks that I would have to prepare. I like to call myself a perfectionist. I would want to make sure the production is a great representation of me and my talent.” Producers for the Oscars are trying to get the celebrity line up they want in this short amount of time. The last time the Oscars didn’t have a host was in 1989.
