Emerald Eyes- Fleetwood Mac

This mellow Fleetwood Mac tune is a fun relaxing trip down memory lane. Utilizing many music techniques from the 1970s, like a primary focus on a certain guitar riff and an emphasis on a slow drum beat, the song cements itself as a classic. The lyrics of the tune talk about falling in love with a mysterious woman, and they are incredibly fun and well written. The chorus is also very catchy, and the lead singer’s voice works well with the instrumentals. You should listen to this song if you enjoy music about love or 1970s music.

Darcy- Wabie

This bubbly and happy indie pop song is perfect for summer! The guitar in this tune is incredibly fun, and is sure to get you up and dancing. Even if the simple love song lyrics may be seen as repetitive, the track is cheery enough to put you in a good mood regardless. You should listen to this tune if you like pop music or upbeat music.

U Got Me- Yung Heazy

[wpdevart_youtube caption=”” align=”left”]FENBGg4z42k[/wpdevart_youtube]

This artist may sound like a rap singer, but “Yung Heazy” is actually a new and upbeat indie pop band.  The band sounds similar to many current popular artists such as Rex Orange County, Gus Dapperton, and Clairo. The tune “U Got Me” is a playful love song with an energetic drum beat. The bubbly track always reminds me of the beach due to its fun sound! You should listen to this song if you like pop songs or creative instrumentals.

Rebel Girl- Bikini Kill

[wpdevart_youtube caption=”” align=”left”]L0oeqAQ1qE8[/wpdevart_youtube]

This fun and upbeat song helped inspire much of the 1990s “Riot Grrrl” culture of that decade. In this loud rock track, the punk rock all girl band “Bikini Kill” sings of feminism, revolution, and girls. The intense use of guitars and drum beats helps solidify the track as a classic rock song. Additionally, the lead singer’s vocals are incredibly talented and pair perfectly with the hardcore tune. You should listen to this track if you like rock songs or talented female vocalists.
