10 Fun Things to Do in Winter
December 14, 2017
#1 Go ice skating! You can never go wrong with a timeless activity like this. Grab your family or a few close friends and spend the day ice skating.
#2 Spend the day baking and decorating Christmas cookies! One of my favorite things to do each December is bake with my grandma, we always have so much fun. If you also love to bake, check out my weekly Tasty Tuesday articles where I will be posting holiday recipes all month long!
#3 Make homemade decorations. Here is a very simple DIY that can be used as a gift for someone or just a decoration for your own home!

#4 Drive around and look at the Christmas lights. This is a super easy activity, and it’s so much fun! Hop in the car with your family or some friends and drive around your neighborhood and admire all of the decorations.
#5 Try some of the Starbucks holiday drinks. Starbucks has so many delicious drinks around this time of year, and the cups are cute too! My favorite drink so far is the gingerbread latte, I grab one every time I go to the mall (which is a lot).
#6 Online shop. You probably have a lot of gifts to buy anyway, so take advantage of all the sales and do it from home too!
#7 Make a holiday music playlist. What else gets you more pumped for the holidays than holiday music? Check out Erica’s Christmas playlist from last year if you’re having trouble making your own!
#8 Have a movie day. When it’s freezing out I always want to curl up in a blanket and watch Christmas movies. Don’t forget the popcorn and hot chocolate!
#9 Do a Secret Santa with your friends. This is a good idea if you have a big group of friends and can’t afford to buy them all gifts.
#10 Make paper snowflakes. It’s so easy to make these and they come out so pretty!
