What even is Christmas without Mariah Carey? The music video for this bubbly Christmas pop song has garnered almost 500 million views on Youtube, and the song has became a global phenomenon. This lovely Christmas tune will always hold a place in my heart, and also on the Billboard Top 100! The Christmas classic has been the highest charting holiday song on the billboard top 100 in 60 years. It is never really the holiday season until Mariah Carey kicks it off with this quintessential holiday anthem.

This alternative holiday hit by The Waitresses struck the world by storm in 1981. This song by a relatively unknown band became a huge hit because of  its uniqueness and style. When you listen to this tune, you will feel a strong feeling of nostalgia due to its 80s sound, and its storytelling lyrics. This song exudes holiday joy, and you should check it out if you want to hear an alternative Christmas song!

This sweet, festive, and haunting song is sung by the legendary John Lennon, with the help of the Harlem Community Choir. Though this song was written by John Lennon and Yoko Ono partly as a protest against the Vietnam War, its festive tone has earned it the reputation of being a holiday classic. This tune is covered by many artists year after year, and it can always be heard on the radio during the holiday season. You should listen to this song if you want to hear some holiday joy, or if you want to hear a tune with a nice message.

I’ve been hearing this song on the radio during the holiday season for as long as I could remember, and it has always made me feel festive. This bubbly holiday tune truly showcases the happiness of Christmas, and you should listen to it if you want to get in the holiday spirit!

Last Christmas- Wham!

It truly is not the holiday season until you hear this song playing on the radio! George Michael from the 80s pop band “Wham!” sings of heartbreak, loss, and hope in the classic holiday tune. The band plays a fun and bubbly melody that accompanies their sweet and meaningful lyrics of love, loss, and Christmas. You should listen to this song if you are looking for a fun holiday jam!
