“Still Got Time” by Zayn and PARTYNEXTDOOR
This song has an upbeat feel to it and is just such a great song to sing along to. The catchy lyrics pull you right into the song moving you in a way that is indescribable. This song is basically Zayn’s way of saying, “don’t rush into another relationship because you still have time to live life and figure yourself out” and that’s sort of the key message of the song which is relatable to so many people nowadays which is why so many people find this song relatable.

“Death Cup” by Mom Jeans
This is definitely my favorite song at the moment. Something about the gloomy sound to this song just hits you right in the feels and by the end of it, it’s just a puddle of tears because of the extremely relatable lyrics. This song explains the roller coaster ride of many emotions going through losing someone you care so deeply about. Having to let go of someone has to be the hardest thing anyone could ever do but this song explains all of the same things we share when it comes to going through this.

“One More Light” by Linkin Park
This song as a whole is just such a depressing song knowing the meaning behind it with recent events involving this band, and hearing this song just really messes with everyone’s emotions. This song talks about losing someone and having the heavy, emotional toll put on your shoulders. The lead singer Chester (before taking his life) explained through this song that he believes if his fans committed suicide they’re hurting everyone around them. Some fans believe he wrote this song as a way of saying goodbye and if that were the case then that makes the already sad and slow song even sadder.

“I Love You So” by The Walters
This song is a nice calm song, I like listening to it at night when driving because it’s just the perfect song for that. The meaning of the song however is quite sad. This song explains basically falling in love with a player and they obviously end things off once you thought it was going well and now that you’re left with all of the memories, you’re forced to move on and forget about that person. The music video for this song is actually really eye opening because it shows a girl with a teddy bear that she got from a previous partner and she carries it around everywhere because it reminds her of that person and once she realizes it’s getting out of hand she gets rid of the teddy bear as a way of explaining she’s letting go. Towards the end of the video, the camera shows a few different people living their lives also with a teddy bear basically as a point explaining they’ve been in her shoes.

“Vienna” by Billy Joel
I’ve actually analyzed this song for hours with my best friend Alexa. The lyrics explain how everyone just wants to grow up and fast forward through life but while they’re passing through life they aren’t taking in the world around them. This song is really just a beautiful song and it really makes you double think about how fast we basically want life to go past us. This is also another great song to listen to while driving, it’s really calming and slow.
