FCCLA to Compete in State Leadership Conference

Paige Rockhill, Staff Writer

Starting in February and continuing into March, members of FCCLA have been working on their projects for a State Leadership Conference.  This conference, which will take place from March 22 to March 23 has so much in store for those participating.  Competitive events, meetings, a “fun night,” and an awards ceremony are just some of the fun activities in which FCCLA members can look forward.

One club member, Simone Gonzalez is excited to partake in the “Toys that Teach” event, in which an educational toy for a certain age group is created and presented.  The events taking place at the conference all require much preparation, and   FCCLA members have been working extremely hard to research, plan, and create these projects.

Their hard work will surely pay off when they get to celebrate at the much anticipated “fun night.” Several fun activities will be offered, and the one that most students seem to be excited to attend is the dance.

Finally, after all of the meetings, competitive events, and fun activities, there will be an awards ceremony.  Hopefully, the students representing our school will all be rewarded for their diligent work!
