What got you interested in cheer?

“My two best friends were doing it, and it looked like so much fun. Also, I needed a challenge and I felt like cheerleading would be so fun; it just felt right when I tried it.”

How do you feel about being one of the few male competitive cheerleaders?

“I think it’s pretty cool! Even though some people don’t really agree with it, it’s a really hard sport and probably one of the most interesting because of its difficulty. I feel really strongly about being a male cheerleader and I don’t really care what people think either.”

What do you enjoy most about being a part of a cheer team?

“All my teammates are like my family, and the gym is honestly like my second home. I get to see my best friends 3 times a week, and would change that for anything. Nothing could ever take that away from me.”

What do you enjoy doing besides cheer?

“Eating, sleeping, and spending a lot of time with my family.”

What’s your favorite subject in school?

“History.”

What’s your biggest fear?

“Failing at competition.”

Who do you feel is your biggest supporter?

“Definitely my mom.”

How long do you want to keep cheering?

“Until I graduate.”

Do you plan on trying out for the school team?

“I think I might next year.”

Are you excited to try out?

“I’m more than excited.”
