Getting pumped for football is definitely not hard for the students of Freehold Township!

As the football players prepare for the biggest game of the year, clubs and sports teams are encouraged to reserve a table at the annual homecoming tailgate. Students are more than welcome to a variety of foods, some grilled by the teachers themselves. After they’re full and more than ready to see the boys annihilate the opposing team, they can show their support by getting their face painted or dancing to Sound Surge DJ’s catchy homecoming mix. When 6:00 rolls around, the students can feel free to make their way to the bleachers, ready to cheer on the team during touchdowns and tackles.

While the tailgate may seem like a simple excuse for free food, it serves a much bigger purpose. By bringing students together and providing them with a sense of family and belonging, the homecoming game and tailgate has become one of Freehold Township’s best and most treasured traditions!
