Mr. FTHS Candidate Profile: Max Saunders
February 7, 2017
Name: Maxwell Harrison Saunders the First
Nickname: Max
Why do you want to be in Mr. FTHS?
Since I have no more bar/bat mitzvahs or sweet 16s to attend, I have no other use for my suit. Also, this is the greatest school in the world and I would love to represent it,
What does Freehold Township HS mean to you?
FTHS means the place that I truly found myself as a young adult. This school allowed me to mature, meet some of my best friends, and find my passion.
What clubs/activities/hobbies are you involved with at FTHS or outside of FTHS?
I am the manager of the b-ball team, a member of LFD, peer leadership, NHS, science league, My Hometown, and the Freehold Rec Basketball League which I will win this year.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a unique, innovative, and caring man. I really love the mac & cheese from La Rosa’s Chicken and Grill. I am also a momma’s boy.
Being Mr. FTHS is a huge honor. Why do you think you have what it takes to be Mr. FTHS?
Being Mr.FTHS requires you to have all the characteristics of a role model. That means you must be unique, innovative, and caring. Wow, that sounds very similar to my answer to question 4.
Who is your favorite person and why?
My favorite person is my mom because she has always been there for me without any second thoughts. She has been a big influence on the man I am today.
What do you love most about FTHS?
The thing I love most about FTHS is how much it feels like a family. Throughout the school, there is a great bond between teachers and students, and I am so proud of this community.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
I see myself on the beach in December in NJ because something weird happened with climate change and everything is opposite.
Describe your ideal date.
My ideal date is either 1/11 or 11/1 because 111 is my favorite number. My grandma and I have the same favorite number, yes I know, so cute.
What is your passion in life?
My passion in life is not letting anything stress me out. Ironically, I get really stressed out by the thought of being on stages. So, I will not be living out my passion when doing Mr. FTHS.
