“I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework. ” Lily Tomlin

To you, my favorite teacher, thank you for putting up with me, even when I’m sure you just wanted to scream at me for giving you my grade A sass. Thank you for sitting with me and talking about college, life and everything in between, even when I wasn’t supposed to be in your class. Even though you taught me for two years in a row and i complained everyday how I didn’t want you as my english teacher and how I wanted someone else, I realize now how i wish i could end my senior year with you in your class, reading the familiar quotes on the wall and waiting for you to throw some sass at the class just so I could call you out on it and dish some back. Also, thanks for letting me store my practice stuff in your room even though you don’t teach me anymore. Much appreciated:)

I can’t tell you how much I will miss leaving my class to come hangout in yours. Or do the casual drop by on my way back from the bathroom. I’ll miss when we’d talk about the people that got on our nerves and i’ll miss making you listen to me talk about rowing even though it doesn’t mean much to you. Looking back to sophomore and junior year I can truly say I looked forward to your class everyday, even when I knew you were going to make us write an in-class essay about the crucible ( didn’t really read that) or The Great Gatsby ( actually read that one) you somehow made writing papers like that less dreary. So Thank you for making my least favorite class one of my favorites.

Now that I’m going to be moving on to a completely new experience at University of Miami and leaving behind the familiar walls of FTHS, I’ll remember how much your class meant to me. I can only hope that my professors at UM are half as great as you were. Maybe they’ll let me store

my practice stuff in their office when I have to rush to morning class after practice, but that’s another story. I’ve promised myself I would never come back to Township after June 23rd, 2016 but I’m sure when I come home from Miami, I’ll stop by school to make sure your sass game is still strong and to make sure the quotes on your wall are better than when I was in your class.
