Ms. Costa by Lucy Cacace

Dear Ms. Costa,

Today my English class was told to sit down and write a letter for our favorite teacher in the school because it’s teacher appreciation week. Although you never taught me in a classroom you were my and are my favorite teacher. You were able to teach me not in a classroom but during this past dance team season. After the whole not having any coaches issue I learned how extremely lucky I was that you were willing to be a part of the team during your first year teaching in this school. It must of been hard settling into a new job and helping manage 21 crazy girls all at once. I also learned how to spell aggressive without using spell check and the difference when pronouncing synonym and cinnamon lol. You always put a smile on my face during games and practices which rarely happened in past seasons. This year the dance team was closer than in the past and having an amazing coach like you made that possible. We were able to laugh and have fun with you something that is hard to find in a teacher or any adult figure. If it wasn’t for you and the other coaches my last year on the dance team wouldn’t have been possible. I was extremely grateful when I found out that McEvoy finally found teachers to coach us. Little did I know how great you all would be and how enjoyable you three would make being captain of the Townships amazing dance team. I’m so sad that my time as a member of the Freehold Township dance team is over but I will always have great memories to look back on. I will definitely come back next year to cheer on the team during their half time performances. I’m jealous for all the other girls on the team who get to have you as a coach in the future.

Sincerely,

Lucy Cacace
