Mrs. Brusotti by Miranda Wittman

Throughout all my years of schooling, I have experienced so many different types of teachers. But I have never had a teacher who was more kind and patient than Mrs. Brusotti. I was lucky enough to have her twice throughout my high school career. I had her as my History teacher when I was a freshman, and again in my senior year for Psychology. Mrs. Brusotti is the sweetest teacher I have ever had. She always brightens my day, and I know that she is always there for me to talk to about absolutely anything. Mrs. Brusotti is also one of the most incredible teachers I’ve ever had. She taught both History and Psychology in such a fun and interesting way. Her methods of teaching made increased my interest in Psychology so much that it is now a subject I want to pursue farther in college. She is the kind of teacher who goes out of her way to make sure every single student understands the concept, and wants everyone to enjoy what they are learning as well. When I saw her name again on my schedule senior year I was ecstatic. She is someone who I can laugh with and talk to almost as openly as I would talk to a friend, and also confide in and ask for advice when I need it. I also feel comfortable enough to tell her when I don’t understand something in class, which I would usually feel uncomfortable doing with most other teachers that I have had in my life, because I know she will always take the time to explain it to me in a way that I can understand. She is extremely patient, and also extremely caring. She always asks you how your day is, and genuinely wants to know the answer; she isn’t just asking to make conversation or because she feels that it is the polite thing to do. She is the kind of teacher I want to be like when I grow up and begin my career. I feel extremely lucky to have had her as my teacher for two years, because in my opinion, she is truly one of the best teachers out there.
