This year, Mrs. Kropa’s classes participated in her annual Halloween science fun.

According to FTHS sophomore Samantha Willoughby,

“Mrs. Kropa told her classes that there was a new way to take blood to be tested that didn’t involve needles. She said there was a special chemical that she would be testing that would bring blood to the surface of the skin and leave a mark on the paper when touched. The chemical was windex that only turned red when put on paper, not actual blood. Mrs. Kropa filled different containers with dry ice and then added water. She then put a soap film on top of the different containers. The bubble filled with dry ice. When the bubble popped, it sunk down onto the table and spread out.”
