On November 13th 2025, the 4th annual Monmouth County Community’s Choice Awards took place. The ceremony recognizes various businesses and organizations located across Monmouth County for their work throughout the year. Over 150 categories are acknowledged at this ceremony, categories span across the board to highlight the best from each within the county. Residents of Monmouth County had the opportunity to vote for who they think is most deserving of each award since August, all leading up to the main ceremony in November.
One of the many categories awarded at the ceremony includes Best Public School. Schools all over Monmouth County are nominated, this year the winner of that award was Freehold Township High School. FTHS beat numerous schools across our district and county. Finalists for this category included Matawan Regional High School and Sycamore Drive Early Childhood Learning Center.

The awards spotlight popular organizations and businesses all around the county, but it also gives a chance for lesser known establishments to have their breakthrough moment. With categories including, Kids and Education, Dining, Entertainment, etc, there is something for everything in Monmouth County. Freehold Township High School winning this prestigious award allows everyone to see the hard work and effort that goes into making this school what it has become today.
