On November 13th, the National Art Honor Society went on a field trip to Livioti’s and painted the windows for the upcoming holidays! The talented sophomores, juniors, and seniors spent hours creating a cohesive holiday display. Throughout the day, shoppers in Mounts Corner would stop by to admire the paintings and cheer the artists on. The three windows on the left were painted by Henry Salinas, Maleesha Rodrigo, Kate Probst, Breanna Rastetter, and Avery Lloyd. In the theme of A Charlie Brown Christmas, the artists painted characters such as Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Woodstock, and Pig Pen sledding, ice skating, and decorating a Christmas tree. Plus, the window with the best painting will receive a gift card from Livotis.
The two middle windows, painted by Nashra Siddique, Alexis Hechler, Jake Rubiano, Parker Chavanne, and Jianna Widi, were painted in a cozy snowman theme. The snowman on the left has an Italian flag scarf and is holding hot cocoa. The snowman on the right has a spaghetti scarf and is holding a meatball.
The next window, painted by Zehra Sheikh and Mariah Andujar, is of a little penguin holding candy canes. Next to it is an adorable narwhal with a cannoli on the tip of its tusk, painted by Lizi Bakradze and Riley Robinson.
The three windows on the right were painted by Madison Kushnick, Kayleigh Chan, Carolina Silver, Sophia Domingo, Richa Deepak, Amy Contreras, and Ashley Morales. Each of these windows had a mice theme: a mouse in a Christmas wreath decorated with pasta and tomatoes, two mice climbing a Christmas tree that has pasta garland and ornaments, and a truck with bread and a little mouse.
The acrylic paint used on the windows would dry extremely fast, which made it a challenge to blend the shades together. Nevertheless, the artists created adorable paintings that truly inspire holiday cheer!
