What are some tips on how to get more involved in school?

One of the biggest upsides to high school is being able to become a part of something. Many students are hesitant to become involved in extracurricular activities based on the unknown of what to expect. However, when you find a club or sport that suits you, it is hard to feel out of place. In high school, a variety of sports are available to all students. Soccer, baseball, football, field hockey, softball, and cross country are just a few sports that are offered. There are also a number of other sports that are available to the student body. Finding a sport that best suits you can open you up to a whole new perspective on high school. By joining a sports team, it can allow you to make new friends, have the opportunity to be a part of a team, and allow you to find a new passion in life. In addition to the numerous sports teams that can enable you to get involved in the school, there are a variation of clubs. High school provides students with a grand selection of clubs in order to meet the different interests of each student. Just to name a few: there is an art club, choir, drama club, language clubs, model UN, patriot warriors club, and patriot press. All of these clubs provide students with an opportunity to let their imagination run wild and express themselves through personal interests. There are clubs for singing, writing, languages, art, psychology, dance, and even helping the less fortunate. Joining extracurriculars might be intimidating at first, but once you allow yourself to determine what you are interested in, it can be easy. Joining school activities can even cause you to expand your horizons and find a new interest. By becoming more involved in school through these activities, it allows you to connect with others who have similar interests and makes you a part of a community.
