Pop Poetry: Reflection

I used to have a mirror in my room

that was just shorter than I am

Five Feet of silver

And when I stood back

There was Five and a half Feet of nothing

Right in front of me

Someone else might have been happy with my nothing.

I love mirrors, because,

They can’t lie to you like people can, but,

I hate reflections, because the more you look at something

The more dull it becomes

And I have grown larger than my mirror but my image has shrunk within my reflection
