On Friday, May 20th, Freehold Township’s choir made their way to a competition in Hershey to showcase their talent.

These students had been looking forward to this trip for months and spirits were high in the moments leading up to their performances. The performance songs included “Send Down the Rain,” “Wade in the Water,” and “Come to the Music.”

Junior Jess DiGrazia, a member of FTHS’s choir said, “It was a very good experience for us as a growing high school chorus and it was really awesome to just hang out with our friends. After the preparation it was nice to just have fun in the park and eat chocolate!”

The singers, were led by Township’s very own Mrs. Conners, sang their way to victory. The choir wowed the judges and received the impressive score of 99 out of a possible 100. This outstanding score earned them the trophy for “Superior Mixed Choir.”
