The FTHS Dance Team performs at halftime for both varsity girls and boys home games. Their season is starting soon after winter break with senior captain, Danielle Mella leading these hard working girls.  Here is what Dani says we can expect from this amazing team this year….

Q: How many girls are on the team this year?

A: There are 27 girls on the team this year. The 24 girls plus the 3 captains makes our team larger than it usually is however the talent level was at an all time high this year.

Q: How many dances do you think we will see Dance Team perform this season?

A: The captains and myself would like to create 2 dances for this season.

Q: Who are the other Dance Team captains for the 2016-2017 season?

A: The other captains are senior, Cori Fiumara and junior, Gianna Micalizzi.

Q: When is your first game?

A: Our first game is a boys game, January 7th at home against holmdel.  

Q: Do you think the team is ready?

A: I think the team will be more than ready to perform. Each and every girl works extremely hard at each and every practice and I am anticipating a great performance.

Q: What style can we expect to see from the Dance Team at halftime?

A: Overall the style consists of jazz and hip hop.

Q: What can we expect to see this year that is new?

A: Overall, people should expect to see a higher level of team unity. There is a large amount of talent on the team and each and every girl works very well with one another.
