After Negan made his first appearance at Alexandria, many survivors were furious with Negan and the Saviors because our survivors lost a lot of useful supplies and were basically bankrupt! One person who was furious was Michonne once she saw the burned mattresses left on the side of the road. Now, Michonne went on a walk, whistling along to “The Farmer in the Dell” which attracted some walkers, and killed them to make a wall for someone to find that happens to be driving along.

As Carl and Jesus were hiding on the back of the Savior truck, heading back to the Sanctuary, Jesus leaves a trail of syrup for future returns. Jesus said it was time to jump out and hide. Jesus went first because Carl asked for a demonstration, but when Jesus jumped out, Carl waved goodbye as he was going to stay behind. When the truck arrived at the Sanctuary, Carl hid behind boxes of alcohol, but a Savior climbed in the truck to get one of the boxes of alcohol and drops it, and sees Carl! So Carl, in self defense, took one of the guns and kills that unlucky Savior! Carl jumps out, scaring the Saviors and tells them to stay back and get Negan. Once Negan shows up, a Savior tries to stop Carl, but gets killed by him.  Dwight finally stops Carl, and holds him down at gun point! Negan broke it off and gives Carl a grand tour of the Sanctuary!

Negan mentions to Carl that he won’t have time for his wives (more on that later). The first stop in the all-exclusive Sanctuary tour was the meeting room where Negan stood over a balcony that overlooked his Saviors. The Saviors kneeled in his honor, and awaited for his announcement which was since they’ve been working really hard lately, Negan rewarded them with vegetables for dinner that night. Still on their knees, the Saviors applaud the announcement, and stood up when Negan left the area.

Back at Alexandria, Rosita and Eugene left for the factory where Eugene makes bullets, but they were stopped by Spencer who wished to join them, and informed Rosita that he’ll be a better leader than Rick. Rosita immediately stops Spencer from speaking and told him to leave her alone.

In the Sanctuary, Negan took Carl to where he keeps his wives as a next stop in their all exclusive Sanctuary tour, but Negan had to take care of a rumor that was true! Negan pulled one of his wives, Sherry, aside to ask her if she knew anything about another one of his wives, Amber has been cheating on Negal with her ex, Mark. Sherry said it was true that Amber was sneaking off with Mark, but Sherry wanted him to go easy on Amber. Negan went over to Amber to have a talk to her about what happened. Amber, with a sorry look on her face, apologizes to Negan over and over again, but she had a choice to make, which is to go back with Mark and his mom and work for points, or stay with Negan, and Mark would have to get the iron! She chose to stay with Negan!

Negan approached Sherry to tell her that he went easy on Amber, but Sherry was still mad at him for making Mark get the iron. What did Negan do next? He sealed the conversation by kissing Sherry, and Dwight and Daryl walked in on them. Carl was shocked to see Daryl serving Negan food.  Negan directed Dwight to get the iron ready!

Spencer took Father Gabriel out on a ride to help him get supplies. In doing so, Spencer expressed his hatred towards Rick, and asked Father Gabriel if it was a sin to say that. Father Gabriel, said it wasn’t a sin, because it’s only expressing emotion. Spencer said that ever since Rick and his people arrived at Alexandria, he was the reason why his family was dead and wished Rick would die right away! Father Gabriel responded with saying those things doesn’t make Spencer a sinner—it makes him a knuckle head! Completely frustrated with Spencer, Father Gabriel gets out of the car and heads back to Alexandria.

Back at the Sanctuary, Negan takes Carl to another room to have a chat about his punishment. As one of his punishments, Negan made Carl unwrap the bandage over his eye! When Carl unveils his wounded eye, Negan ridicules Carl telling him how terrible and hideous he appears with a missing eye ball.  “Fat Joe” comes in to hand Negan Lucille, which he dropped as Negan was dealing with Carl upon arriving. Negan said he’ll never do that again, and shifted his ridicule to “Fat Joe”, until Negan, with a firm look told him to get out!  The ridicule was intended to show Carl examples of busting people’s chops and kidding around. Negan finally complemented Carl and instructed him to keep the bandage off, so others will take him as a badass.

As Carl’s next punishment, Negan demanded Carl sing a song! Carl claimed to not know any songs, but Negan didn’t believe him. With regret, Carl sang “You’re my sunshine” to Negan and Lucille as Negan pretended to bash someone’s skull! Negan enjoyed Carl’s singing, and asked if his mom sang that song to him. Carl nodded yes, which led to the next question—“Is your mom still alive?” Carl said no because he had to shoot her to prevent his own mother becoming a walker. After breaking the news to Negan about his mom, Negan told Carl to get up, and follow him because the iron is ready!

Negan, with Carl by his side, made a speech about following the rules around the Sanctuary to the Saviors. If someone didn’t follow the rules, then would get the iron. In this case, Mark got the iron because his ex-girlfriend cheated on Negan with him! Negan informed the community he wished he didn’t have to do this, but rules matter in this world, and rules help them survive! Negan scalded Mark with the extremely hot iron directly to his face! Mark relieved himself, and passed out cold! The message was sent to all of the Saviors that if someone else decides to break the rules, this would happen to them. As Amber cried like a damn burst, Negan went over to Daryl and made him clean up the mess!

Back to Spencer, he found a walker trap deep in the forest, so he frees the walker, kills it and finds a note that wasn’t shown on screen!

Rosita and Eugene arrived at the factory where Eugene makes his bullets, so he can make Rosita a bullet. Reluctantly, Eugene makes the bullet because there’s a price that needs to be paid, and Rosita is willing to pay it. Rosita tells Eugene how weak and useless he is and the only reason he is alive is because people feel bad for him and believed in his lie about being a scientist. To make himself useful, Rosita forces Eugene to make her a bullet.

Dwight meets Sherry to talk about what has happened with Mark, but that conversation ended quickly because Sherry doesn’t want to get caught by anyone and seen “cheating” on Negan.

Back with Carl and Negan, Carl wants to put the bandage back on, but Negan won’t let him because Negan likes looking at it. Negan still thinking of another good punishment for Carl, out of nowhere Carl threatens to jump out of a window before he does something terrible to Negan. Carl threatens Negan because he knows Negan won’t kill Carl, or Rick. So, Negan decides to take Carl home, but Carl has to drive! Negan told Carl to stop the car to tell Daryl the news. Daryl tries to threaten Negan, but Negan stopped Daryl before he was going to say what he was going to do with Negan, and called over Dwight to take him to his cell because he needs a timeout. Negan said goodbye to Daryl with the middle finger!

A little while after Daryl was brought back to his cell, he received a note from someone that says, “Go now!” with a key stuck on the back!

A random Savior was driving back to the Sanctuary where she was stopped by a wall of dead walkers. The random Savior got out of the car to investigate the scene where she was held at gunpoint by Michonne who asked to be taken to Negan!  On the way to the Sanctuary, the Savior stopped the car to take out Michonne, but Michonne won that battle, and she asked the Savior again to take her to Negan, and she finally obeyed Michonne’s orders.

Carl and Negan arrived at Alexandria where they were greeted by Olivia. Words were exchanged, Olivia slaps Negan, and lets her go—for now! Negan told Olivia to make them lemonade, and forced Carl to give him a tour of Alexandria, again, but this time found Rick’s bundle of joy, baby Judith—OMG!

Spencer meets up with Rosita and Eugene walking home. Eugene made Rosita the bullet and she tries to apologize for what she has said to Eugene back at the factory, but Eugene didn’t accept the apology. As Spencer, Rosita, and Eugene were about to enter Alexandria, they notice Savior trucks!

Negan held baby Judith in his arms as he debated out loud whether or not he should kill Carl and Rick because of what Carl said, and waited for Rick to return with supplies for the Saviors. The episode ended with Negan kissing Judith on the forehead! Tune in to tonight’s 90 minute mid-season finale where Negan shaves his beard, viewers visit the Kingdom, again, and viewers learn what Rick and Aaron have to offer the Saviors.  Watchers also learn if Michonne gets to the Sanctuary, who gave Daryl the note and key, and why Rick was crying at the end of the mid-season finale trailer. This could mean a possible death of a certain someone, but viewers will just have to find out tonight.
