Predictions for the Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere
October 22, 2016
Mark Sunday, October 23, 2016 on your calendars because AMC’s The Walking Dead is coming back with its season 7 premiere episode. Walking Dead fans have long awaited the return of this show because most were quite disappointed by the way season 6 ended, with the long awaited debut of Negan.
The season 6 finale showed what this show is really about. Zombies aren’t the only thing that kill you, it is the people you are surrounded by that pose a threat. The characters were on their way to the Hilltop to help another character, Maggie, who was at risk of losing her baby. During that long and difficult ride to the Hilltop, the group ran into dozens upon dozens of Saviors, who threatened their safety.
Negan effectively captured the group on the run with the intent to punish them for the loss of his many men. One person from the group, Lucille, would die due to a beating from Negan with his bat made of barbed wire. He couldn’t decide who to kill, so made it easier by singing eenie meanie miny moe. Unfortunately, the audience doesn’t know which character Negan kills as the scene was shown from the perspective of him.
The viewers know during the season 7 premiere they will find out who Negan kills. Fans, tried to replay the scene to find where and what angle Negan was standing as compared to the group members, but the directors did an excellent job with trying to hide clues. Some people believe Eugene gets killed, because he adds no value to the group as a pacifist even though he gives Rick his bullet-making recipe instead of effectively and successfully making and getting more. Eugene’s character grow in strength and confidence, but his value to the group diminishes.
Other sources say that the story line will remain true to the comic book series, and kill off Glenn. Glenn is a major character in the show, who has been with Rick and the small group since episode 2 of the first season! Thus fast forward to season 6, Glenn was able to survive 2 zombie invading attacks with the help of his sharp-minded skills, and the help of his friends. Why Glenn? In the season finale, Negan approached Glenn’s wife, Maggie and said, “Ew, you look terrible! I should put you out of your misery!” Glenn got up from where he was kneeling to prevent him from choosing his pregnant wife. Negan’s men broke it off, and Negan was upset with Glenn, and gave them all a warning.
Glenn’s actions towards Negan leads the audience to consider his death, but that’s not the only thing they are expecting from Negan: more sources say that Negan chooses Glenn as his victim, but Abraham decides to say something to Negan about the choice, so Negan takes the matter into his own hands and kills Abraham, too.
The move to kill Abraham is probably the best thing to do to make Negan’s appearance stronger, and the best season premiere of The Walking Dead thus far! Tune in to The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 23, on AMC at 9:00 pm to find out who gets the honor at the hands of Negan and Lucille.
