DECA Club Breaks FTHS Record in Most State Qualifiers

January 8th, a day that will live inDECA infamy. Freehold Township High School’s very own DECA club, oriented around the various forms of business and marketing, took on rival schools at the DECA Regional Competition at Kean University. Marketing teacher and DECA advisor Linda Bonaly is very impressed with her team, claiming that “this was the highest amount of State Qualifiers in FTHS history”. Club President Sara O’Malley explains, “everyone was really focused at the DECA tournament and pulled their own weight. It’s awesome that we made school history, and I can’t wait to go to the States competition in February to take home some more medals”. The results of the tournament are featured below:

Be sure to cheer on those going to the States tournament in Cherry Hill, New Jersey from February 21st to the 23rd. If anyone on our school’s DECA places either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, they will be invited to compete at the National tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. Good luck!
