American Horror Story: Hotel is Off to an Odd Start

Since 2011, American Horror Story has been airing on FX and has gained thousands of watchers. Every season, the creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, think of a new story plot for the show.

On October 7th, the new season of American Horror Story: Hotel aired. There were big expectations for this season for many reasons. “Hotel” has exceeded some people’s expectations, and may have let some other people down.

There have been a few new actors to add to the roster this year including Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Max Greenfield. Sadly, the American Horror Story alumni list is missing one key actress: Jessica Lange. Every newcomer has proven that they deserve to be in this cast, but her absence is felt.

Junior Jeff Meyers has been watching this season and says, “I think the season is off to a good start, but it really seems like something is missing with Jessica Lange no longer being a part of the cast.”

The plot of the new season is good, but it can also be confusing at some points. Lady Gaga and her boyfriend on the show, Matt Bomer, are vampires or cannibals or something like that, and they are the owners of Hotel Cortez. Kathy Bates runs the hotel with Sarah Paulson, and they always have some sort of argument. Also, Wes Bentley plays a detective who tries to solve multiple issues that have occurred in the hotel.

There are lots of other characters this season, including Mr. March (Evan Peters) and Liz Taylor (Denis O’Hare) that have given this show a great spooky feel. Most of the visitors of the hotel don’t realize it’s haunted, and some of them even end up staying at the hotel forever. The show has a lot of gory and inappropriate scenes, so it’s not recommended for people that are sensitive to blood or graphic violence.

Overall, this season of American Horror Story should be a great one. All of the fans of this show can’t wait to see what else the season has planned.

American Horror Story airs on Wednesday nights at 10 pm on FX.
