The halls of Freehold Township turned spooky on October 22nd as students and staff hosted our annual Haunted High School event, welcoming families and children from the community for a night of Halloween fun! Classrooms and hallways, as well as the entire cafeteria, were transformed into a festive place with games, laughter, and of course, candy!
Each club contributed something special to the evening. The National Art Honor Society showed off their creative skills with colorful face painting, while others such as Octagon Club hosted a ghost lollipop making station. The Senior Student Government Association members helped children decorate Halloween-themed cookies with icing, sprinkles, and more candy than they could dream of! There were many more interactive tables and activities throughout the school, such as mummy wrapping and limbo, making sure there was something for everyone and that every child had an activity to enjoy.
Adding to the haunted atmosphere, the FTHS Band performed throughout the night, filling the halls with lively and spooky music that did an amazing job at setting the Halloween mood. Students dressed up in costumes as they helped at their stations, the halls were decorated by different clubs and organizations, and the spirit of Halloween was everywhere.
Haunted High School has become a beloved tradition at FTHS, giving students a chance to give back to the community in a fun, interactive, and seasonal way. Children throughout the community are given the opportunity to put on their costumes early and participate in a variety of fun activities while getting as much candy as they desire. With its mix of creativity, teamwork, and festivity, this event once again proved that school spirit is thriving, even among the ghosts of Halloween.
