Hello, it’s AJ Delgado back at it again with another article coming at you! Here, I’ll be discussing my new entertainment column, the Weekend Ticket—your guide to upcoming movie releases. This weekend, 3 new movies will be released.
1. Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere
From the acclaimed director of Crazy Heart, Scott Cooper, this film tells the story of rock-and-roll legend Bruce Springsteen and his rise to fame. Springsteen is portrayed by the one and only Jeremy Allen White from The Bear and The Iron Claw. This is also based on the autobiographical book by Warren Zanes. In addition to Jeremy Allen White, this film also stars Jeremy Strong and Paul Walter Hauser. This movie is perfect for you if you like biopics, Bruce Springsteen, or overall good storytelling.

2. Regretting You
Regretting You tells the story of the turbulent relationship dynamic between a young mother and her daughter, while also following the daughter’s relationship with a romantic interest. Following dual timelines of the present and the mother’s upbringing that ultimately led to the father’s tragic death, they’ll have to face the challenges of life together. This movie is based on a book by bestselling author Colleen Hoover, most known for It Ends With Us. It is directed by Josh Boone, also known for his directorial work on The Fault in Our Stars. This film stars McKenna Grace, Allison Williams, Mason Thames, Dave Franco, Scott Eastwood, and Willa Fitzgerald. If you love romantic stories, Colleen Hoover, or the novel it’s based on, race to the theaters this weekend!

3. Shelby Oaks
Shelby Oaks is an indie horror movie centered around a woman searching for her long-lost sister while finding out that an imaginary childhood demon may be real. This is YouTuber Chris Stuckmann’s directorial debut, as he is known for being a giant film buff. Mike Flanagan is an executive producer on this film as well. This is not a big-budget horror movie, as it cost $1.4 million to make through Kickstarter. You should give this movie a chance if you love horror or are a big fan of Chris Stuckmann.
