Greetings and salutations, Pat Nation! Today, I’ll be discussing my most anticipated movies of 2025. Let’s do it!

5. Black Phone 2

I’m very excited for The Black Phone 2 because I really enjoyed the first Black Phone! Ethan Hawke is an amazing actor, and Mason Thames has outstanding potential to be a great actor in the future. This one is a sequel where the children are all grown up, and the grabber has returned to haunt them once again. I think this movie looks even better than Black Phone 1—and more eventful too. Also, Ethan Hawke as the main protagonist?! I can’t wait for this one!

4. Avatar: Fire and Ash

I’m a big fan of the Avatar franchise. I think the first two are great movies, and this film has so much potential to be a great sequel! The visuals look absolutely beautiful, and the story seems compelling enough for me! James Cameron is such a visionary director, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us with this one.

3. The Running Man 

This is a remake of an old movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and this rework stars Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, and Michael Cera. I’m very excited for this, as the director of this film is Edgar Wright, who directed other decorated films like Baby Driver and Shaun of the Dead. It looks action-packed and super fun! I can already tell that this one is gonna be a blast, and I cannot wait!

2. Marty Supreme

In case you weren’t previously aware, this is an A24 film about a ping pong player played by Timothee Chalamet, pursuing his passion for competitive ping pong. This movie also stars Tyler the Creator, one of my personal favorite artists. This film looks amazing and very well executed, so I’m hyped. Oh, and Timmy, you’re finally getting that Oscar, buddy. Trust me! 

1. Wicked: For Good

I’m a huge theater kid, and I absolutely adored Wicked Part 1. This one looks even better than the first one, and the makeup and styling look absolutely glorious, too! I’m a huge fan of the music, so I’m very excited for the soundtrack, as it does have two extra songs: one from Cynthia Erivo and one from Ariana Grande. It’s a win-win! So hyped for November!
