The All-Shore Symphonic Band was founded in 1958, and its goal was to give young musicians in the New Jersey Shore area a chance to perform in a high-quality band. Over the years, the band has grown in size and reputation, and it has become a beloved part of the New Jersey arts community. Members of the band come from all different backgrounds, some being professional musicians and others just passionate about music. They all share a common love for playing together and making great music. The All-Shore Symphonic Band meets regularly for rehearsals to prepare for their upcoming concerts. In fact, their next performance is just this weekend on Saturday, April 5th, at 3pm at Neptune High School. Make sure to attend and show your love and appreciation for our very own students in the band. Additionally, Freehold Township High School remains one of the schools with the most instrumentalists at All Shore level between all of All Shore Jazz and All Shore Symphonic Band. The All-Shore Symphonic Band has a bright future ahead. With plans to continue growing and reaching more people, they are committed to being a strong part of New Jersey’s music scene. If you’ve never been to an All-Shore Symphonic Band concert, you’re missing out! Their performances are fun, inspiring, and a great way to enjoy live music.
Plus: Here are some quotes from the star players!
“All shore band is very fun and exhilarating. As a freshman who made all shore intermediate last year in middle school, I was very much looking forward to auditioning this year too. I highly recommend those who want to audition to do it. There is nothing bad that can come out of it. You either audition and make it and learn, or you don’t and still learn. All in all it’s a wonderful experience and I’m personally so glad to be a part of it.” –Lucianna Rattino
“All shore has been an exciting challenge and an opportunity to learn new things with very capable peers.” –Alex Joseph
“Through All-Shore, I have learned how to handle difficult situations and disappointments, as well as how great it feels to succeed. Going through the process of auditioning has specifically shown me that I am capable of working through challenges and accepting and learning from failure or not achieving exactly what I want to achieve. However, after making it my freshman year, I kept coming back to auditions each year as I knew what a great experience it was to be a part of this ensemble. I’m gonna miss it so much next year!” – Sophia Briggs
