The Patriot Press congratulates varsity boys soccer’s J.T. Gold on winning the Shore Sports Network Surf Taco Week 2 Player of the Week! J.T. scored two goals last week, as the Patriots took down the Manalapan Braves twice. First, J.T. scored the second goal as the Braves were toppled 2-0. Then, he scored a second-half winner to sneak by the Braves 1-0. Being voted on by fans, teammates, and coaches, J.T. won 39% of the vote to take the Player of the Week award. 

J.T. has also recently run a wonderful charity campaign through RAW Haiti that provides underprivileged children in the Haitian community of Cite Soleil with soccer equipment. The equipment opens new doors for the children to escape poverty and play the sport they love. Once again, congratulations J.T. on your award and charity efforts! You are scoring on and off the field!
