Student Profile: Nick Facendo

Abbie Faith, Editor

Name: Nick Facendo

Grade: Junior

Q: What is your favorite subject in school? Why?

A: Latin is my favorite subject because the two teachers I’ve had (Mr. Herbert and Mr. Monafis) create a positive environment that makes everyone feel comfortable. This made me look forward to coming to class each day.

Q: What is the hardest class you have ever taken at FTHS?

A: AP US History, because a lot is expected of students who take this class. I wasn’t used to all of the rigorous work, but I adjusted well throughout the year.

Q:  If you could relive your four years of high school, would you change anything?

A: I would have applied myself more freshman year. I did well sophomore year and on, but I wished I had tried harder because my GPA and class rank could have been significantly better if I had.

Q:  What is your dream job?

A: If I could have any job in the world, I would want to be a professional athlete. It’s been my dream ever since I was young.

Q: If you could go to any college in the world, where would you go?

A: I would want to go to Oxford. I want to follow in the footsteps similar to Jay Gatsby’s.

Q:  If you could give a word of advice to a group of underclassmen coming in to high school, what would you tell them?

A: Work hard in everything you do and don’t take anything for granted. Persue any dream that you have and make sure you have fun along the way.
