Pop Poetry: Dear Uncle

Beau Romanowski, Staff Writer

Dear Uncle,

I miss you like I always have

Sometimes I wear your boots

I’m still a little small even though to others I look tall

I miss your boots and shoes because I used to stomp and play in them when I was young

but now your boots fit me and yet I could never fill your boots

Sure I love to mess around like you and you would play with me

when I would get upset you’d get sad and give me life savers

And now when I get sad I get upset at myself and i’d remind me of how you were

and how thinking of you saved my life more than any uncle ever could

And so in return I should be happy.

Love,

Short Stack
