Wednesday, January 17th was the night of the 2018 NHS induction ceremony.  Freehold Township High School is associated with the William R. Satz Chapter of the National Honors Society and is advised by Ms. Pollifrone and Ms. Foerg.

To join NHS, one must meet strict criteria including having obtained sixty hours of community service and at least a 3.75 GPA. Once a participant, members must maintain excellent grades in rigorous courses as well as complete at least 15 hours of community service per marking period.  They are also met with many responsibilities including being potential tutors for other students and helping to direct parents to classrooms during parent-teacher conferences. NHS showcases FTHS students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Inductee Valentina Privetera states, “I enjoy volunteering for nursing homes and physical therapy organizations. I also like volunteering for the foundation for MERS.”

Senior Narjis Moosavi, who was inducted into NHS last year, cautions this year’s inductees to “ Remember to do your community service on time and make sure to do something you’re interested in so you’ll enjoy it.”

Congrats to all of the 2018 NHS Inductees!
