Senior BOTC Team Sets Sights on a Victory

This Tuesday at 6:30 P.M., a handful of seniors will be prepared to face the ultimate challenge. Their agility, musicality, and superb teamwork skills will be tested through a series of clever events such as the Tug of War and the Three Legged Race, and then measured up against those of the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. It all comes down to the very last event, the iconic lip synch number. Both a crowd pleaser and a game changer, the lip synch is often the determining factor of the competition.

“We’re doing really well.” said Maria D’Amico, a senior member of the Battle of the Classes (BOTC) team. “We practice the dance and all the events about four nights a week now.”

After being selected by other members of the senior class, the senior BOTC team is given around two months to perfect their strategy. By practicing non-stop and finding the ever so coveted Patriot, the seniors have certainly earned a spot near the top.

“We definitely feel more optimistic after finding The Patriot.” states D’Amico. “We were in last place and now we’re not!”

Although the competition is fierce, the seniors seem to have no doubt that they will dominate!
