Being Mr. FTHS is a huge honor. Why do you want to be Mr. FTHS?

– I never thought I’d get super involved with the activities at FTHS since I came into this school knowing nobody. But, I am enjoying everything that I do at Township now. There’s not a day that goes by when I’m not excited to come to school to see the faculty, my friends, and my clubs. Being Mr. FTHS would be something I would love to do with my class, my peers, and the other faculty. I also just love performing.

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned at FTHS?

– To put it simply- that anything can happen and anything and everything is possible. When I joined the Patriot community my freshman year of high school, I could only imagine the kind of reputation I’d develop. I thought that I’d do the drama club, make 1 or 2 friends and that would be the end of it. But now, as a senior, I can proudly say that anything is possible. I’m the President of the International Thespian Society and I can confidently say there’s not a single person in the club whose name I do not know. I now have plenty of close friends. Not just people who’ll acknowledge me in the halls, but actual close friends who I talk to on a daily basis. I learned that anything is possible. I never thought that I would do anything special at Freehold Township High School. But I proved myself wrong by getting into All Shore Chorus, The International Thespian Society, and Project Lundy. These are my proudest achievements that I never thought possible. Anything could have happened, and I was happy that everything I had dreamed of happened.

How would your teachers or advisors describe you?

– My directors would describe me as caring. My teachers would describe me as dedicated and humorous.

What staff member at FTHS has had the biggest impact on your life?

– Mr. Giblin had the biggest impact on my life. He was the first teacher I ever saw at Township and he was very welcoming. He was my drama teacher and theater has become one of my biggest passions in my life. I still talk to him whenever I see him about theater and he has always given me advice for acting and performing on the stage. Although he’s not my director, he was the first person to say hi to me at Township, and he’s been helping me since.

If you could go back to freshman year what would you change and why?

– I definitely would have given myself more confidence. As I am learning now, as a senior, my friends and teachers have always supported me. I just never had any self-confidence early on in years at Township.

Do you have a special talent?

– I can sing pretty decently. I could also perform songs that are definitely more comedic opposed to just a normal song. So a song by Weird Al, I could perform and make a pretty funny scene for the audience.
