Olivia Naum: How many years have you participated in BOTC?

Taylor Stern: I have been in BOTC since my freshman year.

ON: Why did you decide to do BOTC?

TS: I decided to do BOTC as a freshman because my older siblings had done it in the years prior, going to the event and watching them participate was always so fun. I looked forward to hopefully being able to participate and am glad I am able too.

ON: What are you most excited about for this year’s BOTC?

TS: I am most excited for the night of BOTC as a whole. I think it will be really amazing to have the whole school together again for the event. I love the spirit everyone brings and it definitely is what I am looking forward to most. 

ON: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

TS: I love to be outside and travel. My Dad is a big outdoors person so I think he kind of influenced me in that way. I always look forward to seeing a new place and being outside.

ON: What is the key to winning BOTC?

TS: The key to winning BOTC is working together and putting in effort. A lot of times kids think they’re too cool to be silly and put in effort but BOTC is all about getting out of your comfort zone. As well it is important to come together as a team to collaborate and work to create something fun and exciting.

ON: What is an inspirational quote that motivates you?

TS: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
