Herman Colbert
Olivia Naum: How many years have you participated in BOTC?
Herman Colbert: I have participated in BOTC for 3 years (every year but junior year since we didn’t have it).
ON: Why did you decide to do BOTC?
HC: I decided to do BOTC because it seemed like a lot of fun when I used to watch my sisters do it in high school. Also, I wanted to do it because I know years from now I will remember all of the memories we made during this time.
ON: What are you most excited about for this year’s BOTC?
HC: I’m most excited for everything about BOTC since we didn’t have it last year. Specifically, I’m most excited for the dance, because the team and I have been working hard on it with such little time and I think it will turn out well. Also, you get to see what the other grades come up with.
ON: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
HC: I’m somewhat of a good dancer and can do a few flips.
ON: What is the key to winning BOTC?
HC: The key to winning BOTC is working as a team and picking up one another when they make a mistake. We can’t get mad at each other and start pointing fingers at one another. We need to take it one event at a time and if we lose, we just look to win the next one.
ON: What is an inspirational quote that motivates you?
HC: Excuses make today easier, and tomorrow harder.
