  • Bongo Cat

Bongo Cat became a meme due to the variety of songs that could be paired with the white, animated, adorable creature. The original video is of the animated cat tapping its paws on a table to the beat of a Mario song. Remixes were made with Bongo Cat playing a variety of instruments and tapping to many different songs.

  • Moth Memes

It’s safe to say that moth memes truly took the Internet by storm this September. For some unknown reason, moths were the meme of the month and many different types of memes were made involving moths, most commonly was moths and lamps. Seeing as though moths are attracted to light, it would make most sense for lamps to appear in the moth memes.

  • Colin Kaepernick Nike Ad

When Colin Kaepernick appeared in Nike’s ad, the Internet went crazy. Many people who didn’t agree with Nike’s political stance boycotted the company entirely, however others saw the opportunity to make a meme out of the ad itself. Twists were put on the line “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

  • Weird Flex But Ok

This line didn’t necessarily originate anywhere, but has become a widespread phrase across the Internet. It’s meant to be a response to when someone does something odd to perhaps try and prove something, but you don’t agree with or understand what they’re doing or saying.
