  • Walmart Yodeling Kid

The Walmart Yodeling Kid, formally known as Mason Ramsey, was a viral sensation in April of this year. The original video was of him singing “Lovesick Blues” in a local Walmart in an extremely out-of-place cowboy hat and boots. The entire situation was just so random that it was funny, and the Internet saw the opportunity to make this child even more famous in the form of a meme.

  • Floating Boy Chasing Running Boy

There’s no real origin of this meme, but it quickly took over Twitter and other social media apps. Wide varieties of captions were placed on the photo and there were many photoshopped versions of the boys in the photo as well.

  • Who Killed Hannibal?

Coming from a Season 2 episode of The Eric Andre Show, screenshots surfaced the Internet with, yet again, many funny captions. The situation is so vague in the form of just screenshots, so adding false context makes the meme that much funnier.

  • Gorl

In the movie Despicable Me, the main character Gru has a strong accent. This accent makes his pronunciation of certain words sound different, one of which being “girl.” It’s a word that’s used very frequently throughout the movie, and Gru’s pronunciation of the word became a viral meme in April for whatever reason, considering the movie came out in 2010.
