Old Bridge’s early defensive objective against Freehold Township was clearly to chop off the head of its offense, senior  point guard Nick Facendo, by initiating a box-and-one and some other zone schemes.

It yielded moderately positive results by limiting Facendo’s quality touches in the half.

The problem with that whole head approach, though, was that the Knights had no solution for all the legs that were running around in support of the closely watched Facendo.
