REEHOLD – To a quarterback, the phrase “Air Raid Offense” is music to their ears, and such was the case with Freehold Township Field General Jack O’Brien.

“The administration did a great job of hiring our new coach (Cory Davies),” O’Brien said of the first-year Patriots head man, and mastermind of this run and gun scheme. “I was excited when I heard who it was because I knew the type of offense he was going to bring with him. I know he’s the best quarterback coach around here, and I’m still learning a lot from him. It’s been very exciting and a lot of fun.”

O’Brien and the Freehold Township offense had some fun on Friday night when the Patriots played to a 21-14 victory over Howell, the program with which Davies spent his last 21 years coaching, and where he won a Central Group IV title in 2007.
