Her greatest quality is in her name (generes)…kind of.

Ellen is the most generous person imaginable, giving away thousands of dollars on her show everyday to people who deserve it. She’s caring, witty, and always nicely dressed. If it wasn’t for Hillary Clinton standing in her way, Ellen would become the first female president of the united states. FACT.

Before becoming the icon she is today, Ellen was a TGI Friday’s waitress, a house painter, a bartender, an oyster shucker, a vacuum cleaner sales person and a paralegal. Just an FYI for all you oyster shuckers out there: it may get better. She serves as a universal role model for many, and teaches people to be comfortable in their own skin. When she came out as a lesbian in 1997, she inspired the 42 million people watching by becoming the first openly gay TV star. Adversity only motivated her to prove herself equal and gain the same respect she had before she came out to the world.

Since then, she got her own talk show, married Portia de Rossi, wrote three successful books, hosted the Oscars…twice, and danced with Channing Tatum.

Basically, Ellen has conquered all aspects of everyone’s dreams, and then some. Her talents are endless, from scaring people on her show, to mastering the awkward pause during interviews. Ellen is a queen. And she can speak whale. And she’s a Covergirl. And she created the Heads Up app. Did I mention that she got to dance with Channing Tatum?

At the end of every show, Ellen always says, “Be kind to one another.” This small encouragement influences thousands of people every day to go out and do nice things for each other. People watch the show and become inspired to be a good person and pay it forward; Ellen has so much power and impact on society and she uses it all to help others. Throughout the seasons on The Ellen Degeneres Show, there has been a plethora of discoveries of talented and worthy people. Ellen recognizes potential and gives people the opportunities they deserve by showing them off on TV. So if you can whistle really well, you just may have the chance of a lifetime.

Another reason to love Ellen is for her role as Dory in Finding Nemo.  She coined the phrase, “Just Keep Swimming,” which is yet another positive message that has brightened thousands of days and inspired people to keep fighting the battles they face. Her character Dory became an unprecedented symbol for hope and perseverance; people of all ages use the “Just Keep Swimming” motto to swim through life and all of its obstacles. Dory also became the most beloved fish in the deep blue sea.

“I personally like being unique. I like being my own person with my own style and my own opinions and my own toothbrush.”

Ellen Degeneres defies conformity and strives to be different. She’s comfortable with her own being and presents herself raw, uncut, and hilarious. Just by being herself in front of the TV everyday encourages the whole watching world and entertains them at the same time. When she interviews guests, she listens. She cares and makes them feel comfortable. She tries to diversify the people who come on her show, introducing everyday heroes, struggling families, talented kids, and Nick the Gardener. When people come to see The Ellen Show, they have fun. They have fun because Ellen is a genuinely entertaining person who will spontaneously stop in the middle of the show to talk to an audience member and (probably) give them a 50 inch plasma TV.

The Ellen Degeneres Show brings people to tears and then has them laughing within the next minute; her colorful charisma has the perfect combination of seriousness and humor to keep the audience enchanted. Ellen throws in small life lessons almost every episode, advising everyone to “do things that make you happy within the confines of the legal system.”  The show features a motley assortment of games and segments where audience members can win prizes and have a good laugh. From Kevin the Cashier to the game of Know-or-Go, there’s never a dull moment!

To recap, these are just a few of the reasons why Ellen Degeneres is the greatest demigod on the planet:

— She dances like no one is watching

— She makes everyday exciting on her show

— She broke the internet with the most famous selfie ever featuring Bradley Cooper

— She could help you become famous

— She tells really punny knock knock jokes

— She’s proud of her lesbianism and says things like “I like my coffee like I like my men. I don’t drink coffee.”

— She appeals to people of all ages, sizes, colors, and saturations

— She practices what she preaches

Ellen is the coolest humanitarian-lesbian-comedian ever! She continues to inspire millions of people every day, simply by being herself, dancing a lot, and caring even more. Vote Ellen for Prez 2k16!
