First of all, congrats on your commitment!

– Thanks!

Why did feel Tulane was the right fit for you?

– I always wanted to go down south for college since I felt like I would fit in nicely. Tulane was also good fit both academic and athletics wise.

What are you most looking forward to as a college athlete?

– I’m most looking forward to getting to travel to all different areas to run instead of just local places. I’m also looking forward to meeting my teammates.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to run so far?

– New York City. It was really cool to run there.

What advice can you give to those looking to play college sports?

– Take your time with the process and don’t rush. Make sure you really like a school before you commit there. Take your time.

What will be the biggest challenge in adapting to college running?

– The biggest literal challenge will be the heat. I like colder weather when I’m running, but I’ll have to adapt to Louisiana weather.

What is the most challenging part of the college recruiting process?

– The most challenging part is reaching out to people. You’d think coaches and colleges would come to you, but that’s not the case. It’s more about reaching out and putting yourself out there.

Interesting. What are you most looking forward to in your remaining track career at Township?

– Definitely spring track. That’s when I get to run the relay with my friends. All my work gets put into that one season.

What are your goals for spring track?

– For the 800 meters I want to run a 2:15. I also hope that I go under 5 minutes in the mile.

That’s really fast!

– Thanks.

What will you miss most about track at Township?

– Running with my friends and the team aspect. That’s the best part and why I do it.

Congrats again to Brianna Kirsch on her commitment! Best of luck at Tulane next year! Patriot Nation will be rooting for you!
